Advancing Research and Policy for Safe, Voluntary Family Reconnection Across Borders
Research With Public Purpose
ReUnite Institute, Inc. is a nonprofit research and education organization focused on improving understanding, policy thinking, and institutional responses in child protection, family justice, cross border family systems, and safe voluntary family re-connection. Our work brings a research and governance perspective to complex issues affecting children, families, institutions, and communities.
The Institute contributes public interest research, educational resources, and systems level analysis in areas where fragmented information and long term challenges can make effective decision making difficult. We are particularly interested in issues affecting families across the United States, Canada, and Mexico, as well as broader questions of institutional continuity, child safety, family disconnection, and responsible pathways toward voluntary family re-connection. Through research, collaboration, and knowledge sharing, we seek to support better information, stronger coordination, and better informed institutional decisions.
Our Services and Offerings
Public-Interest Research
We conduct research examining child protection, family systems, family justice, and long term family separation. Our approach emphasizes evidence, institutional context, and the broader systems that shape outcomes for children and families.
Policy & Governance Analysis
We explore policy, governance, and institutional questions affecting child and family systems, including cross border family issues. Our reports, briefs, and research summaries are intended to help stakeholders better understand complex issues and make more informed decisions.

Education & Re-connection Frameworks
We develop educational resources and research based frameworks addressing safe, voluntary family re-connection and long term family separation. We also support institutional collaboration on projects involving child welfare, family justice, cross border systems, and related public interest initiatives.
